Playing the recently established dive-bar Mosh Pit, The Argon room manage to surprise punters with both a different name (previously Starling) and a new musical direction. Moving away from the groups dark folk roots (although still present) The Argon room displayed sophisticated arrangements still holding true to Starlings earlier song-writing. Hints of experimentation may be due to the limited  line up, as each member contributed a unique rhythmic pocket to the overall dark sound. For comparison sake; Magazine (the band) and Dark Side of the Moon’s lovechild. Overall a great gig from one of Sydney’s finest super-groups .
